SingleOps answering service: storm calls and estimate requests, answered while you're in the tree

In short

SingleOps is tree care software from Granum: tree inventory, estimating, scheduling and crew work orders. It doesn't answer calls. Local Call AI answers every call 24/7, separates the tree on a roof from the pruning estimate, and books estimates on your calendar. Standard is $297 a month with 250 minutes; on Connected it integrates with your existing SingleOps account.

SingleOps runs the estimate. Somebody still has to take the call.

SingleOps is business management software for tree care companies, made by Granum and used by arborists since 2013. It's built around the way tree work is sold: a tree inventory for each property (species, condition, risk, work history), options-based proposals, automated follow-ups, map-based scheduling and crew work orders. Plans run $200, $350 and $500 a month billed annually (Essential, Plus, Premier), and Essential includes email and texting to clients.

Like most field software, it starts working once a lead exists. The call that creates the lead comes in while your climber is forty feet up and your salesperson is walking a property. That's the gap an answering service fills.

Two kinds of tree call, handled differently

A tree company's phone mixes two calls that need opposite treatment.

The urgent one: a limb through a roof, a tree across the driveway, a trunk leaning toward the house after last night's wind. Local Call AI asks what fell, onto what, whether anyone's hurt, and whether lines are involved. For anything near power lines it reads the safety line you write, such as staying well clear and calling the utility, and never improvises advice. Then it gets the call to you as fast as your plan allows: an email alert on Standard, a text to whoever is on call on Connected, or a live transfer on Concierge.

The estimate: a removal, a crown reduction, stump grinding, a hazard assessment before they sell the house. For these it captures the address, which trees and roughly how big, how close they are to structures, whether a bucket truck or crane can get in, and the deadline if there is one. On Concierge, callers can text photos straight to your team.

Booking the estimate

The AI books estimate visits on your Google Calendar or Cal.com calendar within the windows you set, or takes a detailed callback request. SingleOps lists a Google Calendar integration on its Plus plan. If you use it, test how a booked estimate shows up before you rely on it; that sync is between SingleOps and Google, not us.

On the Connected plan ($497 a month, 500 minutes), Local Call AI integrates with your existing SingleOps account, set up during onboarding, so a captured lead reaches the software you quote from instead of an inbox. On Standard ($297 a month, 250 minutes), each call's transcript and summary arrive in your portal with an email alert.

After a storm

The morning after a wind event is when the phone breaks. A receptionist, or a voicemail box, takes one call at a time. The AI answers them all at once and keeps the urgent ones at the top. Minutes past your plan are $0.35 each, so a storm week costs you a known amount. More on the trade in our tree service answering service guide.

Frequently asked questions

Does Local Call AI work with SingleOps?
Yes. On the Connected plan it integrates with your existing SingleOps account, set up during onboarding. On Standard, calls arrive in your portal and by email.
Does SingleOps answer phone calls?
SingleOps doesn't list call answering or an AI receptionist on its product or pricing pages, checked October 2026. It includes email and texting to clients on every plan.
What does the AI do with a tree on a house?
It treats it as urgent, asks what fell and whether anyone is hurt or lines are involved, reads the safety line you wrote, and gets the call to you right away: email on Standard, a text to your on-call person on Connected, or a live transfer on Concierge.
Will it quote a removal over the phone?
No, unless you give it a price to say. It captures the trees, size, access and deadline so you can price the job, then books the estimate.
Can customers send photos of the tree?
On Concierge, callers can text photos straight to your team.
How much does it cost?
Standard is $297 a month with 250 minutes, Connected $497 with 500 and Concierge from $750 with 1,000, all with $0.35 a minute past the allowance and no setup fee.
