How Much Does a Missed Call Cost a Pressure Washing Company? (Your City Changes It, 2026)
In short
On Angi's 2026 pressure washing prices ($312 average, 51,092 projects), a missed call costs a one-rig company about $74 on a driveway, $205 on a one-story house and $410 on a two-story. In a 110-call April with 44 missed, that's about $5,282, or $160 per real customer at national prices. Angi's own city averages stretch that from about $97 per call in Phoenix to $215 in Portland, Maine, so the same phone covers a $297 month in about three saved calls in one city and under two in the other.

Start with your city
Angi's pressure washing guide, updated October 13, 2026, puts the national average at $312 from 51,092 verified projects, with most homeowners paying $213 to $449. It also lists average prices by city, which most cost guides don't. We took the national result from the worked month below and scaled it by each city's average against that $312.
| City | Angi's average job | Lost per missed real call | Lost in the 44-miss month | Saved calls to cover $297 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Phoenix, AZ | $190 | $97.46 | $3,216.30 | 3.0 |
| Denver, CO | $250 | $128.24 | $4,231.97 | 2.3 |
| Dallas, TX | $270 | $138.50 | $4,570.53 | 2.1 |
| Sacramento, CA | $298 | $152.86 | $5,044.51 | 1.9 |
| Kansas City, MO | $319 | $163.64 | $5,400.00 | 1.8 |
| Chicago, IL | $345 | $176.97 | $5,840.12 | 1.7 |
| New York, NY | $375 | $192.36 | $6,347.96 | 1.5 |
| Portland, OR | $405 | $207.75 | $6,855.79 | 1.4 |
| Portland, ME | $420 | $215.45 | $7,109.71 | 1.4 |
Portland, Maine's job is 2.2 times Phoenix's. The scaling is our shortcut, and it assumes every job type moves with the city average. It also doesn't count how many months you can work. A shorter outdoor season could mean fewer calls at the bigger price, so check the column against your own year before you trust it.
The worked month at national prices
April, one rig: 110 calls, of which 35 are a driveway or patio, 15 a fence or deck, 20 a one-story house, 12 a two-story house, 10 existing customers and 18 not jobs. You can't hear a phone over the machine, so 40% go unanswered. Tickets are the midpoints of Angi's project ranges: driveway $100 to $250, fence $150 to $300, one-story $150 to $750, two-story $400 to $1,400.
| Missed call | Ticket | Book if answered | Lost per missed call | Missed | Lost |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Driveway or patio | $175 | 60% | $73.50 | 14 | $1,029.00 |
| Fence or deck | $225 | 60% | $94.50 | 6 | $567.00 |
| One-story house | $450 | 65% | $204.75 | 8 | $1,638.00 |
| Two-story house | $900 | 65% | $409.50 | 5 | $2,047.50 |
| Existing customer | 4 | $0.00 | |||
| Not a job | 7 | $0.00 | |||
| Total | 44 | $5,281.50 |
We assume a same-day callback saves 30% of every row, since a dirty driveway can wait a day but the homeowner may have already called someone else. That's $160.05 per missed real customer. The 13 house calls are under 40% of the real missed calls and 70% of the money.
Gutter crews often get asked about the same houses. Their math turns on a different thing, the second visit each year, as our gutter cleaning missed-call math shows. A pressure washing customer doesn't come with that built-in schedule, so we count one job per caller and leave repeat work out.
What the phone should ask on a pressure washing call
A driveway call and a two-story house call are 5 times apart in the table, and you can't tell which you've got until someone asks. What are we washing? How many stories? What's the house made of? Anything else while we're there? Angi prices brick at $0.10 to $0.40 a square foot and wood at $0.30 to $0.55, so the material matters as much as the size. On our plans the AI doesn't quote a job price. It takes the address and those answers, then books an estimate or a job into the openings you set. Our pressure washing answering service guide compares the options for this trade.
When the phone is worth paying for
Standard is $297 a month with 250 call minutes, Connected is $497 with 500, and Concierge starts at $750 with 1,000. Past that, minutes are $0.35 each, and all three plans answer in English and Spanish. For planning, a new job takes 3 minutes, an existing customer 2, and a call that isn't a job 1.5.
| What you forward | Minutes | Standard ($297) | Connected ($497) | Concierge (from $750) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Every call (110) | 293 | $312.05 | $497.00 | from $750.00 |
| Only the calls nobody picks up (44) | 117.5 | $297.00 | $497.00 | from $750.00 |
One saved two-story house at national prices covers a Standard month. In Phoenix terms, you need about three average calls. Angi says siding and driveways are best done in spring or fall, so outside those months the math may not hold. We integrate with Jobber and JobNimbus only. See the pricing page for what each plan includes.

Forget the table once you've got your own data. Take last April's jobs, split them into driveways and patios on one side and whole houses on the other, and average each group. Multiply by your missed calls and your close rate, and our missed-call calculator handles the rest. Other trades are in our 2026 missed-call cost research.
